How does bio come about?
In 2008, we created, with the farms of Binifela, Son Durí and —later— Son Cànaves, the Cooperativa Això és Vida . We began working with various consumer groups in various places on the island, making closed boxes to raise awareness about the consumption of organic and local products.
During the first few years we worked only with this option, until at the end of 2010 we started working in the organic market of Palma. There we realized that people preferred to buy by choosing the product, which is why we decided to start offering a greater variety of products and providing a professional service to shops and restaurants on the island.
Given the high demand, we decided to create Va de Bio , which is responsible for distributing the cooperative’s production and other organic products that our customers request.
Va de Bio also has a stall every Saturday at the Plaça d’Alaró market, offering a wide variety of fresh, dried and processed products to locals and visitors.
From September 2019, Va de Bio opens a stall at the Mercat de l’Olivar in Palma.
Why consume organic food?

Family farm in Vilafranca, which is mainly dedicated to dryland production such as chickpeas, melons, pumpkins, watermelons, … + INFO

Organic production farm located in Petra, Mallorca. Production of bread, jams, cakes, yogurt, cheese, marmalade and sobrassada.

Va de Bio has been collaborating with ACHEBA since 2021
ACHEBA: Association of ecological businesses and hotels of the Balearic Islands.
Exclusive and official distributor of 'LES PALLETES' : Disposable, biodegradable or ecological, edible, reusable straws made of different materials, all certified and approved by the European laboratories SGS and Intertek.
Also, personalized reusable and biodegradable straws.
At the same time, the association, with part of the donations it receives, participates in cleaning operations of tourist and local places , in order to raise awareness among the population about adopting environmentally friendly behaviors.
